    Restore WeatherTech Floor Mats

I got the MOPAR factory All Weather mats in my 2500 when I ordered it. I like them WAY better than the Weathertecs I put in my wife's Jeep. Have had Weathertec in a few other cars, not a bad mat, just that the MOPAR are much superior. As far as making them look new, scrub them with a 400 or...

    Increasing Towing/Hauling Capability?

That is a very good video. Too bad he never tried air bags, as I find them very good, especially for levelling.

    Recieved wrong oil from Amazon

Another vote for use the 5W30, especially where you are and how warm it gets.

Crew Cab or Quad cab ?

I have always used the western style seat covers. I don't like sitting on neoprene. Real fast way to develop hemorrhoids in even med hot weather. These last forever i have one set that have lasted 30 years and still look new...

Crew Cab or Quad cab ?

Pretty sure they don't make the quad in the 2500 in that year they didn't in 2021 when I bought mine either. Easy way to tell, crew cab, back door same size as front door width wise, quad cabs were 2/3rds size of front door.

    Increasing Towing/Hauling Capability?

I too will be very interested. From what i can see it is hard to understand how their solution does what they claim.

    Increasing Towing/Hauling Capability?

Got to say I agree. There are some very specific instances, like rough country access and camping, where a slide in excels but for regular living a 5th wheel or ball pull are a way better idea. We switched quite a few years ago. Also much easier to drop the trailer and have the pickup free...

    Increasing Towing/Hauling Capability?

A good set of air bags won't 100% solve your issues but them and a beefier sway bar will definitely help with sag, rocking in the wind and the like. Have used them on SRW one tons for years, with large Campers on them. The airbags make a very noticeable difference. Best ones I have found are...

Anybody know how to remove security bypass cable (used with OBDlinkEX / Alpha OBD)?

^^^^^^ What he said re removal. Mine has been in almost 2 years, no issues. I cannot see how the cable could cause a problem if you have nothing hooked up to it, but I guess you just never know. Take it out, let us know the outcome please. This might help...

    MAX CARE EXTENDED WARRANTY

All good points and accurate, except, in Canada extended warranty is just exactly that. They do not usually include service like oil changes, they only cover repair of what breaks.

    MAX CARE EXTENDED WARRANTY

Should have said in the last post, the quote for that same warranty on my 2021 2500 was the same or a couple hundred more, but given the 2500 has the 6.4, no air suspension and less electronics, I just stuck to the warranty it came with. So far have had zero issues with the 2500 and am at 36,000...

    MAX CARE EXTENDED WARRANTY

I bought mine from Redwater Dodge, which is where I bought my pickup from. Londonderry Chrysler, where we bought the Jeep, wanted more than double. Crosstown Motors in Edmonton was competitive, they quoted the same price as Redwater, but since I had great service on the pickup purchase, as well...

    fuel pump

Google up the fuel pump and fuel line drawings. Also, there is a link on this forum that I posted that has the entire service manual for 1996 Ram pickups. https://www.ramforum.com/threads/1996-dodge-ram-service-manual.200307/

    AlfaOBD

They are defined you putz and if you were a mechanic for 30 years you would know what they mean. The fact you dont means i am damn glad you never worked on anything I own. If you are just too lazy to look up a few you don't know not our problem. Your lack of planning and effort do not...

Fuel Warning Light - How many Gallons remain when comes on?

Yes, but by always being half full he can wait for the price to drop mid week or till he gets to a station with lower prices. Especially when travelling, timing your fuel stops using gas buddy can save significant dollars. When the empty light is blinking, you pay whatever the price is within...

Just blew my v6 truck up, how hard is it to replace it with a hemi v8

I think folks may be getting a bit sanctimonious here. Being upside down on a vehicle by $4,000 isn't really uncommon, you are backwards way more than that when you buy new. I just bought a used vehicle with 50,000 miles, in pristine condition, for literally $100,000 less than it sells for new...

Just blew my v6 truck up, how hard is it to replace it with a hemi v8

It would be nice if the OP would take the time to respond and at least clarify what is actually wrong with his motor. Lots of guys have provided good general advice but we really are working in the dark pretty much. I know he is reading the responses, and that he has posted quite a few issues...

Just blew my v6 truck up, how hard is it to replace it with a hemi v8

Burla, you consistently post good, high quality advice but That stuff above is REALLY bad advice. F'ing up your credit over 4000 bucks is like cutting off your leg because you have a hangnail. OP do NOT even think about doing this. It is not the "Bank's" truck. You picked it and you are...

Just blew my v6 truck up, how hard is it to replace it with a hemi v8

Just stick to a V6 replacement. The total cost to go to V8 is WAY too high and finding a place that can actually do it properly is even harder. If you want a V8, fix this one as cheaply as possible, a good independent may be able to fix without a full replace as you don't say what actually...

    Need Help possible starter issue

All good steps to take when tracking down an issue and on any day it could be any of those things, BUT tapping with a hammer and it starting is pretty much guaranteed there is a dead spot on the starter or the solenoid is going south, both of which means it needs a new starter.

    Backup Camera Resolution

My 2500 is similar to the 1500 classic and I have the 8" screen. My camera is crystal clear. Can't see why the 1500 wouldn't be too. I would get them to show you a few other classics on the lot and judge for yourself. Dealerships are infamous for saying, oh that is within spec, when it isn't...

Opinions wanted, use Gumout or not to use Gumout?

You will likely notice no difference in the oil color. Very little of what in-fuel cleaners remove, ends up in the oil. Bottom end, oil added cleaners yes, top end cleaners, not so much.

    Need Help possible starter issue

Spot on. The correct answer, unless you want to have your wife occasionally tap the starter when it hangs.
