As mentioned, they're useless. The air going in to the engine is metered, throttle is electronically controlled.
If you want a mod that actually makes a difference get it tuned.
Anywhere in the south is just plain sucks to wash a vehicle. Can only do a very small section at a time, and even then it sucks because the soap starts drying by the time you pick up the hose. And then have to dry that small section before moving on, unless you like water spots everywhere. Takes...
I don't care what's under the hood, as long as it has the power/torque to get the job done. The I6 has more power and torque, it comes on sooner, and is slightly more efficient. What's not to like?
Will I miss the sound of a V8? Sure. Let's not dismiss the fact that the Hemi was/is getting long...
All manufacturers are having slow sales right now. Mainly due to interest rates and still inflated pricing.
Very low mileage used CPO vehicles are out selling new.
We're headed to Myrtle Beach in a couple weeks. Always a good time at Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Just have to book your site almost a year in advance. So we typically book the next trip as we're leaving.
They weren't forced by anyone other than themselves. FCA created their own problems by stuffing the 5.7 in to damn near every vehicle they produced. If they would have kept it to just a few cars and the trucks they'd still have a V8. But, no, HEMI ALL THE THINGS! Ford and GM didn't stuff a 5.0...
TFL always does mixed reviews, and it drives me nuts. They're never apples to apples. Like the towing tests they rarely ever use the same trailer/load.
Dang near every truck you'll run out of payload long before you hit towing capacity. It's probably ok to push your payload a little since I'm sure there's some leeway factored in for Bubba, but going grossly over is dangerous.
I've owned and worked on enough 1500's to know your numbers are not capable of towing a 5th wheel. Math + Experience.
Your Limited E-Torque would be lucky to have a payload of 1500 lbs.
I've used PowerStop pads and rotors on all my vehicles for years. Even just swapping to the pads with OEM rotors makes a huge difference. Much better braking performance and a lot less brake dust. They last just as long as well.
I made it 30k on the stock Firestone's before they were downright dangerous in the rain.
But I agree with OP about the leather dash bubbling. My truck has almost 42k miles on it. The leather dash is bubbled up and getting worse. I didn't want leather at all, but this truck was what was...
I don't recall disconnecting the plug before launching. We would get some blown lights every now and then. lol
My current boat trailer is all sealed LED.
Quite honestly, I don't care about how many miles or what the fuel economy is with a given trailer. Didn't care 25 years ago, don't care today. I only care that the truck I have is capable of towing the trailers I have.
It's a bass boat. What are you trying to set in the EVIC? There's nothing to set/select for a small trailer. It's not like the truck is going to drive differently based on a small 4/5 pin trailer behind it. There are no electric brakes, so nothing to set there.
I'm confused. Your truck is doing...
Might want to consider the Andersen WDH. I tow a 31' travel trailer with one. It's quiet, very easy to set up, quick to hook up and remove, great sway control.
I've also seen good things about the new Eaz-Lift TR3.
