Very doubtful it's the cable. Mines been in for years. Very easy to remove tho, just push in the retaining clip with a small pick and it comes right out.
Since I really never paid any attention to my oil pressure prior to this thread! My pressures really don't vary that much! 44psi hot idle, 49psi hot @ 1500rpm and 51psi hot @ 2500rpm. Will be interesting to see if it changes on next oil change when I switch to 5w30.

I have this one, had it for 4yrs now. Works awesome! It actually checks off 2 of your asks, the cannon and short gun. I also us Chemical Guys snow foam, you can get the gallon containers online or the smaller ones from Walmart (online too)...
If it were me, I'd buy some black wheel skins and center caps and be done with it. For your center caps, line the wheel opening with foil tape until the caps don't slip out.
Take the battery out of her FOB and put it back in when needed? Another option since it seems to be pairing with her FOB primarily is to swap FOBs with her.
To each their own. I personally carry extended warranties on all my vehicles and like knowing they are there. My Ram and Durango have more than paid for themselves. My Harley, never had to use it. You can do much better than the 2275.
Here's the extended covers I used. I did silicone the plug in to keep it sealed. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071SGJ4S2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
