    Dang that’s what I did to mine. It was loose a year ago and I had to pull the headliner down enough to get a ratcheting box end in there to snug it up. I would hold onto that thing when I washed my truck. Nice detective work.

    Can you post a pic from farther away? It’s been a really long time since I did a drum brake and sometimes the shoes are directional. Possibly the shoe needs to be reversed? Did you remove the other side yet? If you haven’t, pull the other side drum off and double check your hardware placement.
