    Oil Consumption-Can Anything Be Done?

It sounds like you just need to use a cheap oil and get as much mileage as you can before replacing her altogether. Please be aware also that with heavy oil consumption your catalytic converter is going to take a hit and a failed smog test could bring you to the end of your journey, forcing her...

    Cruise Control Stopped Working

I checked a few of the other threads regarding cruise control not working and they don't give me any real advice on my issue so beginning a new thread. I have a 2010 Ram 1500 with a 5.7 Hemi. Background is I recently completed a CamShaft/Lifter repair and while taking the truck on a test drive...

Yeah, they work better on my hands.

    No Oil Pressure After Repair

FINAL UPDATE: Got back in town mid day Saturday and was too tired to look at the truck then so went back to it yesterday. I already had the throttle body out so examined it well and ensured the throttle plate was moving freely and reinstalled. I checked compression on all cylinders just to...

    No Oil Pressure After Repair

I will check for the potential of cracked hoses and make sure I’m not getting a vacuum leak. I should be able to see that in the STFTs as well. But if I was a betting man, I’m still leaning to a damaged or out of calibration TPS in the Throttle Body.

    No Oil Pressure After Repair

@Jeepwalker , yes all the vacuum hoses were hooked back up. I took the throttle body off and haven’t put it back on yet as I am working out of town the next two days so it will be Saturday before I can look at it again. The reason I suspected a calibration issue was the P2135 code. That code is...

    No Oil Pressure After Repair

Okay, update. Filled cooling system with OEM Mopar coolant and bled. Let warm up and everything sounded great. Took for a test drive. On the residential street, everything seemed normal, then got on to a road where speed was increased to 45mph and noticed a little sluggishness. Got on to the...

    No Oil Pressure After Repair

Thank you, I used this method and worked like a charm. Once oil pressure up, put the fuel pump fuse in and started it up. Cycled the key a few times to turn the fuel pump on and off but still took a moment to get it started. I guess that was just getting enough fuel into the rail and injectors...

    No Oil Pressure After Repair

Okay, so I am having an issue with prepping for start up after doing a repair from my Hemi 5.7 camshaft/lifter failure. I tore the engine apart (in vehicle) and replaced the lifters, camshaft, water pump, oil pickup tube and tube o-ring, and oil pump. Engine rebuilding lube was used on the...

    Lifters Discontinued

Thank you. I had ordered that same part number a week ago but it was on back order. Just got confirmation today that it has now shipped. Thank you for confirming the part.

    Lifters Discontinued

Yes, thank you. I have had a few issues with RockAuto in the past, not too many. But for this job, I am only considering the MOPAR parts they have available, not a cross-referenced aftermarket. if they didn't have the MOPAR part I needed available, I went to either an on-line MOPAR parts dealer...

    Lifters

i noticed there is no mention as to what engine this is, or whether or not it uses Multi Displacement System. If is does use MDS, it makes a HUGE difference on whether the right lifters were installed in the right locations. Also, as someone else already mentioned, the push rods can easily be...

    Lifters Discontinued

Thank you but I will not be doing an MDS Delete so I still need both the Non-MDS and MDS lifters. I am also unsure of how to verify whether the lifters would even work in my engine. Believe it or not, I am getting no help from neither a MOPAR Online parts store nor the local Dodge Dealership...

    Lifters Discontinued

@Burla Okay, found something interesting. I went to an on-line Mopar parts store and put in my vehicle as if I had a 2016 Ram 5.7 Hemi and looked for lifters (1st screenshot). They showed both the rear and front as the exact same numbers I posted in my original post for what RockAuto gave me...

    Lifters Discontinued

@Burla Interesting. I hadn’t know the needle bearings were increased in size. If they fit with no modifications, why not! I was also planning on putting a hellcat oil pump in rather than the stock oil pump.
