    This is a very crude drawing of the throttle return spring you're missing, the wire that is broken is for the idle dashpot. If the engine idles okay and has decent performance warm, you can probably ignore the wire.

    Looks like Advance auto shows possible availability on a 433959, Though that looks like a slightly larger core size. The price is relatively low, perhaps if available it could be adapted to fit?
