    2023 Ram 1500 4x4 Big Horn Etorque

Your salesman doesn't know what he's talking about. The starter isn't used to re-start the engine.

Recall on 2023 Ram Big Horn 5.7 Hemi

I just entered the VIN for my '23 1500 on the NHTSA website and they don't show any recalls pending.

    Big Tank programming

As stated above, the physical limitations of the float are the issue. I did make the changes in the BCM with AlfaOBD for my '22 2500 and it helps with the DTE calculation, but the float can't be corrected at this time. I posted my results in another thread, see link below...

Max Care quote for my used 2021 Classic Warlock: No?

Sounds like you already know the correct answer. Extended warranties/service plans are a really good way for the dealership to make money. If they were paying out $2k claims for touch screens consistently they'd charge you $4k for the plan. Maintain it, drive it and save the money.

All Repair Parts @ Employee Cost!

I need to order the steering wheel wiring harness for my '24 2500 Tradesman, but I can't figure out which one is compatible with the steering wheel controls for the stereo. Would it be 68619670AA or 68619669AA? Thanks

    Camping 2024

We’re planning another trip to the Badlands in South Dakota, a little over 3k miles round trip. Day trips will probably add another 500 miles. I’m expecting about $1200 in fuel for the trip, but like Jawzs2 said, I bought it, so I’m using it. We’ll probably do a trip out to west Texas in the...

4th gen 8.4 Uconnect and PAC ampPro

Do the 2016 1500's have ANC? I have the AmpPro AP4-CH41 R.2 and my system sounds great.

    My 2022 Dodge truck died!

PDC is the Power Distribution Center, located under the hood near the battery. If it was just replaced by the dealer my guess is installation error.

All Repair Parts @ Employee Cost!

Hi Benny, I'm looking for the correct part number for a black leather heated steering wheel w/audio controls for my 2024 2500. I currently have the base tradesman wheel.

Anyone tried low profile tires for towing stability

I have the 275/70R18E and mine calls for 60psi front and rear.

Anyone tried low profile tires for towing stability

Plenty of LT’s out there in the OP’s factory size of 275/60-20. Tire Rack lists ten OE size LT tires in load range E.

    Heated seat base pad repair....

Thanks for posting this. I'm planning to add heated seats to my '24 and would have pulled the seats out of the truck to install the pads. Your way looks much easier.

    Key fob.

JScan. Runs on IOS and does just about everything Alfa does and some things Alfa can't do. I have both, and JScan was the only one that could pull the security PIN from the BCM and program keys on my '24 2500.

Anyone tried low profile tires for towing stability

You might want to consider going to a LT tire instead of the P-metric. The LT tires have a more rigid sidewall.

To clean or not clean the oil pan, that is the question

Like Wild One said the aluminum bolt story is complete BS, and the pickup tube screen will prevent the bolt from getting to the pump. I wouldn’t worry about it myself.

Good dealer to buy from (anywhere in US)?

Try Mark Dodge, I bought my 2500 from them, easiest deal I ever made.

What brand for tensioner/belt and idler?

Bearings will vary depending on pulley, but my local NAPA had them in stock.

What brand for tensioner/belt and idler?

I've had no problems with Gates belts. Tensioners have been hit or miss, I wound up changing bearings in my GTO idler pulley and it's outlasted the aftermarket idlers I've tried.

What are the best, highest quality seat covers?

I wouldn't consider anything other than Katzkin.

Upgrading to a 48 gallon fuel tank

I added the 50 gallon Titan to my '23 2500 and was able to correct the DTE with AlfaOBD. I never could get the fuel gauge reading perfectly due to tank dimensions, it would hang on full a little longer than it should. Using an OEM tank & sending unit you shouldn't have any issues. Change the...

Interesting Gas Mileage. 2023 Ram with 3.6 Pentastar

I think the biggest difference here is that these trucks have the aerodynamics of a cinder block and mileage will suffer drastically at 78 mph.

How much better is a 2500 for towing?

I've pulled the trailer in my sig with our 1500 and the 2500. One trip in the 1500 and my wife said never again, she was getting seasick. This was after I spent the morning making sure I had the WDH dialed in. I think the biggest issue is the wheelbase (5'-7" bed) on the 1500. The 2500 is so...

    New truck prices are insane

I'll second that. I just picked up a new 2024 Tradesman CCLB 6.7 from Mark Dodge for $13k off MSRP. They beat every dealer in my area.
