Headlight Bulb Retaining Clip

Apparently the little plastic retaining clips that hold the bulb in the housing are part of the headlight housing and can not be purchased separately. Or at least purchased from the dealer. So what happens when you break those little rings? Or in my case want to change the bulb from the 2013 (9012) to the 2016 (9005). Someone please help this is completely driving me nuts.

Thanks for your help. but what I am looking for is what the clip bulb actually twists into on the projector housing.

Oh yeah that I would imagine is only with the housings. I don’t see them making those aftermarket.

Is there a video showing how to install a new retainer clip? It’s the long white one behind the headlight. I broke mine and want to replace it.
