Fellas I'm having issue with installing running boards. The brackets mount with 2 clips that slip into the factory holes on the backside of the sill with the other part of the bracket fastening to the holes in the pinch weld. Well the passenger side hole has what seems to be a threaded feral on the inner side of the sill and the driver side front holes seems someone drilled out these ferrels. No matter because even if the clip was to slide in it will not seat correct as it spaces the threaded part of the clips to far. I've attached photos. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The link for the running boards is pasted in here as well.

Is your truck a classic (1500 in door, not in hood). These running boards are for classic. As far as drilled out holes, assume you bought used. Someone must have drilled to install boards and gave up. But the drilled metal looks fresh, no rust, a bit weird.

Those are called Rivit nuts or more common rivnuts these are available in many different sizes. Measure the holes then find the appropriate rivnut ,install then mount your boards.
