Going to install new front brake pads this Saturday when I do my drop kit. The factory pads have nearly 40k miles on them and probably have another 5-8k miles left at best. Figured might as well replace them while the front end is torn apart. I have used these Wagner ThermoQuiet pads in the pads with good results. They have to be better than the stock pads.

I thought about going with some Hawk or EBS pads, but couldn't justify the extra cost. These were only $48 shipped though Rock Auto. You can get the semi-metallic pads instead of ceramic for a few dollars cheaper.

You should totally paint your calipers.

Keeping the stock rotors since they are still good.

I thought about painting the calipers, but not sure how it will look. I think the only real option is red and I'm afraid it might not look good up against my inferno red paint.

You could use any high temp paint, maybe silver? Painting them also reduces brake dust build up on the calipers...

Used Wagner pads on a company cargo van about 50,000 miles ago. Liked them a lot. Need replaced again. Put EBS pads and slotted & ported roters on my Buick Century to improve breaking which was horrific. Nice stuff all around.
