07 hemi qc 2wd 3.92 gear. Looking at campers around the 5000lb mark. I live in WI so I'm not planning on going into any mountains any time soon. I know the rating of the truck will handle it, but looking for some real world experience from you guys.

Is my peddle going to be mashed to the floor the whole time?

Is cruise control even an option?

What to expect for MPG?

Thanks guys

It'll be fine. No your foot won't be mashed to the floor, it'll pull 5k just fine with a 5.7 and 3.92s

Correct me if I'm wrong, but OD should stay off when towing?

Probably wouldn't hurt, but I'd just put it in tow mode and leave it at that

This is pulling a loaded 30ft travel trailer which weighs 5400 lbs empty. We are traveling from Augusta ga to Colorado and hitting a lot of hills and traffic. A/C is on because of the dogs and our son. We are in haul mode most of the time. I have a 2006 ram 1500 4 inch fabtech lift and 35 inch nittos on stock 20in wheels. I am so have a weight distribution anti sway hitch on and a brake controller. If you have specific questions just let me know and I can answer from my opinion.

Yes temps did skyrocket on me. Had to keep rpms way down and speed as well. Got scared a few times truck was going to blow up
