I took some pics of my Laramie door to show you guys what you're getting. I have the picks in my phone and I can't find the thread with the new Tapatalk format so I'll have to make this cheesy post first so i can find it in notifications. grrr
Okay the mood lighting comes from two [emoji111] places in the door. Behind the handle and above the storage pocket glowing down into the pocket. It looks like a cut out in the back of the door handle and there's a plastic clear lens with a dim blue light behind it. For the storage pocket, it runs the length of the door. 62df5fd8f8f11b5e9c734c992b5bc7c6.jpg2f726654d3c051a1883ac8d18cbb7ccc.jpg812650cf2f9049666a630770528fe92b.jpg29fc9b4675ed00802a39ff739be9aead.jpgf97edf9a37832bf9605c5acf130d6a08.jpge51c97a81cc6df5652bb9ea93a9d50a8.jpg

The last two [emoji111] pics is for the pocket and to get the light I put my phone in the pocket and pointed the camera up.

This is awesome, but any chances you'd remove the panels and show that they plug into and any module pn's?

If the plug is there for the light on the door card and not in the harness of a sub-Laramie you could tie in to the footwell light harness and run your own wire to the door cards.

So what kinda light is behind there?
Doesnt look like just one LED. Maybe a super bright one focused in those two spots

Unfortunately I am the sole caretaker of twin 2 year olds while my wife is out of state taking care of her sick grandfather. If it were something I could do really quick I would consider it but I can't. What I can say about it is it does not look like one bright light, it just looks like one regular led light that shines into the clear lens and the glow of it likes the Door. Like optic cable passes light. At most there's one light on each end of the clear tube for the back door and probably just one light that lights up the door handle. My best bet is that it's not an accessory that you can add but part of the Laramie door package when they install it it probably comes as one unit with the door interior. I really don't know if they can sell the part because it may not come separate from the door panel. They may just sell a replacement LED bulb. Then again my wife tells me I'm wrong all the time.

On second thought, you could probably achieve the same glowing light if you just grinded out a section of the plastic and installed an LED strip light behind the hole. I'm sure you could certainly get a 12 volt power source in there.

It looks like maybe the black piece that surrounds the door handle can be swapped out and then run the wires on our own.

The trick would be to find the pn for this and someone try it

I just ordered some on Sunday. I'll post here if they are the lighted handles. Note that the standard Express bezels are NOT interchangeable with higher trims...

The sport and laramie bezels are definitely the same shape.
I am going to get a part number for the bezel with led and swap them out.

The lights in the doors are on with the headlights correct?
Tying into the footwells would only turn them on when the doors are open There's other options for wiring though so thats not a concern

Here are the available part numbers for the bezels with LED

Left Black 1WD61DX9AC
Right Black 1WD60DX9AC
Left Brown 1WD61LU7AC
Right Brown 1WD60LU7AC

These are the same for the rear as well except they do not offer Brown in the rear for some reason, Perhaps that area of the panel is black on all of them.

I ordered the LA8 color code. I can let you all know when they arrive if they include the LED. I doubt it because they only cost $12.

Ok, those appear to be the "premium" part number.

You will also need the screw covers if you don't already have them

1WD62LA8AA COVER-RELEASE HANDLE BEZEL
1WD63LA8AA COVER-RELEASE HANDLE BEZEL

In the above numbers, change LA8 to DX9 for black instead of diesel grey screw covers.

The non-lighted (cheaper) part number appears to be

1WD58LA8AC BEZEL-RELEASE HANDLE
1WD59LA8AC BEZEL-RELEASE HANDLE

Anyone have any clue what wire I should tap into on the driver's side to have these light up with headlights/interior gauges?

bump. Not sure what wires to tie into on drivers side or passenger side so these will stay lit up only with interior gauges/headlights

There's a power line for the lights in the door controls. I'm sure that could work although I'd be weary of them.
