So I know the clutch fan on the Cummins is electronically controlled and I'm wanting to put a switch on it. Basically I want to let it function normally but when exhaust braking I'd like to be able to engage the fan manually causing more drag on the engine, thus creating more breaking horse power. I'm thinking it's simple wiring and maybe just running 12V to it will do the trick. Any ideas?

I don't see anyway to send a private message on here...
There are other forums that are more geared just to the cummins that may give an answer quicker.
I remember it being mentioned, but I can't remember the answer... it didn't interest me ATT. :sleepy10:
sorry-

It's a great idea. Too bad Ram didn't think to program it that way. I'm sure there has to be a way. Finding the feed wire and adding a secondary power lead and a diode or 2 to keep it from back feeding on the primary feed.
