I've got a 98 ram 1500 Laramie SLT limited with an engine that isn't good. I'm wondering how easy it would be to swap in a 5.9 instead of the stock 5.2. The drivetrain is an automatic with OD and rear wheel drive.778dc814fb9e043245ae919fab7bea29.jpg

What size tires are on your truck? When I bought my truck, it had the same 20 inch wheels as yours. I don't particularly care for them, but I'm going to have to put new tires on soon. Thinking of selling the wheels and going back to 17s.

My truck has the stock wheels, the front passenger is that spare, but the original is in the bed.

isn't there some rotational balance issues to consider?

96+ will need the correct engine flexplate and 94-95 will need correct engine tq converter. PCM needs swapped. Anything else is year dependent
