i would say its because they are dodges.... and they have the best owners ever!

EDIT: dodge owners are the best owners.. not just 3rd gen owners

I got a third gen mainly because of the body style, the front end of my truck is really aggressive compared to a 2nd gen. Mine is actually a 3.5 gen.

That's the only down side on the 2nd gen is no hemi :( but I guess you could always put one in it!

I honestly think that before this new model that the 3rd had the best looks, body lines etc. plus it had the Hemi which is a big check in the win column, i like the 1st and 2nd gens but I think all around the 3rd Gen had it right. but these new ones... they look awesome, i dont like the two tone ones or the ones with the chrome bumpers, but the fully painted monotone 4th gens look amazing

I am like Werm and will not say the 3rd gens are the best gens...yeah I know I might seam biased based on the fact I have a 2nd gen, but it is the 2nd gen that revolutionized what the Dodge Ram is today...the fact that Dodge said, wait...why does a truck HAVE to look like the standard "bricks" they were making up til 94...

I dont think haveing the Hemi is a "break the deal" situation either...the 318 and 360's are pretty solid engines...and the fact that the Hemi isn't a true Hemi anyway takes away from the name a little too.

Not knocking anyone with a 3rd gen or a Hemi, just stating my opinion.

Alright I loved my 3rd gen I had. At the time they were the best looking trucks on the Market!!! But then the 4th gen came out and I got my 2010!!! So all in all.... 4th gen wins in my book!

^That break once you start putting down alot of power lol. 3rd gens have there highlights and drawbacks same as eveything else just depends on what directing you want to go with your truck.
