Hey folks, thinking on getting one of these light bars for my truck.

It calls for connecting/splicing into the reverse or back up wire.

Where is that located under the rear of the truck?Image1478698625.974196.jpg

It's the White wire that comes out of your 7 pin plug assembly. If you look at the cover it shows the pin out which should be the center pin of the 7 pin plug.

Mine was white wire with red tracer in middle of 7 pin plug.

Yup. White with Red. Hope your light lasts more than 5 months. Never seen one that actually works as designed. haha

You can also grab that same wire behind the tail light.

Well now, that's definitely something to think about especially since these are stuck to the truck with 3M tape. Not opposed to drilling holes to mount a good set.

Anyone have a light bar that's lasted? Preferably over a year or so?

Longevity of the LED light bars were a concerned for me too. I installed a United Pacific #36864 Stop/Turn/Tail LED Glo-bar. It is a DOT approved and intended for use on semi trucks/trailers so it should last a while. All of the internals are epoxy sealed.

The red color doesn't show up correctly in the picture, all four brake lights are a similar bright red. These are the brake lights, I didn't wire the running light part of the bar.

Dumb question, where's the 7 pin plug? My light wiring connector is a 4 plug.
If you don't have a 7 pin trailer plug around/through the bumper, then you probably don't have one

So I only have the 4 pin connector.

Anyone have an idea what color the backup wire is and where it's located on these setups?

UPDATE: I'm a moron!!! It pays to look at and fully understand your truck. [emoji5]
