its a 2001 ram 1500. looking to lift, but nothing crazy.
it currently has 33's and a 2.5" level spacer in front. and rear sags and needs new leaf springs, so im getting those anyway.

im having trouble deciding weather a 3" lift will be enough. when my current set of tires are wore out, if like to go to 35's. but dont want the truck to look goofy with a 5" lift and small tires until i get 35's

opinions? photos of similar set ups help too!

In my opinion 5" and 33s still looks good.
i tried googleing images, but couldn't find anything to really compare to. i think i will go with the 5" lift. the truck is currently tore down to be completely built and restored.

I've never really dealt with anything other than Rough Country. (cheap but ok) i don't really abuse the truck, so their quality should be ok right? or is there other decently priced companies?

I would do a 5 inch lift. If you get a 3 inch, the next month you will with you went with the 5, just my opinion. I also think 33's with a 5 inch lift will look fine. Heres pictures of my truck, also 2001 1500. I have a 5 inch lift with 35's. I couldnt afford a BDS lift at the time so i went with skyjacker. Ive had no problems at all with the lift and it drives like stock. I took some pics for you if you still need em. Hope they upload correctly 73nOCK.jpg

I'd do the 5" as well. I had the skyjacker 3" on my old truck with 35's and wasn't happy with the little lift it gave so I ended up adding a 1.5" coil spacer and a 3" body lift with 37's. I don't have any pics on my phone of the 3" and 35's but here's one with the 7.5" and 37's.

33s will look small with a 5" lift but if you plan to go to 35s later its a pretty easy choice.

I say 5in because it's not to crazy high but it still looks good and my truck has a 5in lift and it drives smooth.
