So I picked up my new truck (2016 1500 CC) about a month ago and didn't notice this at first. I don't really want to go back to the dealer at this point if it is something easy for me to fix (I'm a total newbie at detailing). Looks like they let a buffer sit a little too long and scratched the clear coat?

What does it look like happened to you? What product should I try to fix this? The paint is the Brilliant Black crystal Pearl.

Thanks for you help

That does look bad. I would recommend you taking it to the dealership let them figure it out Even tho you said you didn't want to and more since you have no experience in detailing. The dealership should fix it under warranty

Good luck

Take it to the dealership, if they found out you tried to fix it, then they will blame you for the damage....

Update, took it to the dealer and their detailer spent about 10min. on it, and its all good. :)

I asked him what it was from. He thought it wasn't from buffing, more likely a factory blemish that didn't get detailed properly at the dealer.

Anyhow, thanks for the suggestions....much better than me screwing it up!!
