So im new here with my 2011 ram and reading through various threads and i came across one guy saying that he changed his battery and somehow shorted or ruined a tpim (i dont know what that is) but that he had to take it to the dealer and get it fixed at a cost of$3500 WTF
So i just want to ask to be sure since i will be changing mine sometime soon is there a special technique / procedure other than what i have done for the last 35years. The last battery i changed was my 2005 Dodge magnum and had no problems.

Sent from my Samsung Note 4

Nothing special. Just don't ground the cables together, start and end with the negative cable, make sure you are connecting the proper cables to the proper post.
