I recently bought a light bar for my front bumper and it comes with a harness and I understand how it works, but where will I need to run my switch/button to get it in the cab? Its a little switch about the size of your thumb, it may be a simple answer, but just want to make sure I know what im doing before I start!

I would run it through the Unused plastic clutch cover plate . It's located on the firewall above the gas pedal area .
You can drill it in place , or remove it , just two screws if I remember correctly.
I ran my Backup camera wires through this . I drilled a 3/4 " hole and installed a rubber grommet.

You can also go through the rubber boot where the main harness comes into the cabin , just below the brake reservoir. There's an unused nipple on the bottom of the boot ment to run wires in the cab , you may have to cut it open , mine didn't have anything running through it , I didn't want to cut it so I opted to drill & grommet the clutch plate .

Hope this helps .

The grommet R.I.K. Is referring to is held in by 2 15mm nuts on the inside of the cab right above the brake pedal. Super easy to take out and drill a hole into. Alternately you can cut the unused nipple off the factory wiring grommet and use that. I used that one for my kicker sub install but the grommet for my remote start and power fold mirrors

I went through the plastic clutch cover. This is where I ran the switch. Very neat and clean but easy to access. I don't like drill holes in The dash.
