I've got the best of both worlds on my truck. Went with the 1223-V's and Air Lift 1000's a couple of summers ago. I also had the Air Lift Wireless One controller installed at the same time, so adjusting the psi in the bags in a piece of cake.

TufTruck TTC-1223 Rear Extra Heavy Duty Coil Springs

(Not the variable rate ones - these are intended for a constant load - like my camper that stays on)

Unloaded gives a 1.5 inch lift. Loaded with 800lb is exactly the same as stock.

This really helps me bc I will have anywhere from 600-1500lbs constantly loaded in my truck. I think I will go with the ttc-1223s and airlift 1000s for the extra heavy days

hmm...I have the airlift 1000's and have had 0 issues, but the springs seems like an awesome way to go as well, I think having both installed is an invitation to eventually fold an axle by overloading the truck....

on the springs i'm lookin at, the ttc-1210 they state
"Benefit: 50% greater carrying capacity and/or added capacity to the Tongue Weight
•Designed keeping TOWING IN MIND"

but airlift makes no claims to increase payload capacity, but load leveling.

hmmm...

Iam seeing 2 different part numbers for these springs, TTC-1223 and TTC-1223,V,
question do these give the same lift empty ? and what longer shocks is everyone using with these springs since they give over 2" of lift.

Coming out of a 2500 I am going to ad these and some lift on the front so I have more of a heavy half with this 1500.

Thanks

Thrashie, The spring has a 50 percent better carrying capacity than the factory spring but just like the bags does not change the manufacturers recommended maximum payload. Or more importantly the axle ratings.

1223 is for carrying a load, constantly, like the pickup bed popup camper, shown above.

1223V is a variable rate spring. top end of the spring is OEM rate of compression, so you retain the soft OEM ride. as weight is added, that spring compresses darn near as fast as the OEM SPring, However, as more weight is added, it stiffens up.

coming from a 2500, imagine you will prefer the 1211 springs.

Constant linear rate of compression, not variable. so less sag, from the git go. You will lose the OEM squishy ride but I prefer my ride, now, with these springs. Truck feels much more planted, as I go over uneven surfaces .

much less body roll.

Give tuftruck a call, not their Retail Reps, SD Springs. but tuftruck themselves, up in Canada. They will tell you what the recommend, after learning your situation and needs. super nice folks to deal with.

Thanks for the info, I do believe I will be happy with the 1223s and not the variable ones.
