Lol I didn't drive it but I did flush it three times, heat full blast, full operating temperature, until I just got clear distilled water out. Refilled with a little less than a gallon of coolant and a little less than a gallon of distilled water. Climbs to 190 during extended idling then the fans kick on and it's back to 180. Going to go run to the auto parts store to give them the old fluid and monitor.

I mist say this new stuff is super trippy. In the container it's orange. While pouring it's purple. On the paper towel it's purple but in the radiator and resistance it's bright orange. WTF engineers. Seriously?!

Now it climbs to 190 at Red lights then back to 185 as soon as I start moving. Think I need to pull some and replace with water.

It definitely didn't do that before...

Did you mix it before putting it in? If so don't worry about it. Take the cap off and try burping it.

It's not as purple as you might think. I'll take a picture while pouring it later to settle this dispute once and for all.

Update. Belched it again. Added a little more water and it's rock steady at 185 again. Calling it good to go!

Double check it cold for a few weeks, if you have Rhino ramps always good to burp it with the radiator far about the heater core. I once had the radiator flush and because of my negligence in not checking it, one of my favorite vehicles of all time was ruined. Coolant level was 1/2 down the radiator, rust the whole nine yards. I figured it out when I started losing compression. That will only happen once to me.

When your engine is cold check it a couple times before starting. That is what I didn't do after I paid a shop to flush one of my old vehicles. Had I done that, I would have seen they left way too much air in there.

Here's a picture of the junk that came out! And how it looks in the radiator. I'll grab a pouring picture in a bit so that you can see how purple it looks while pouring!

It's very much light dependent! Sorry the pictures won't come out straight. This is straight from the bottle. You can see its purple when outside of the black container but orange when in the radiator!

Okay , the 13+ coolant is purple. ...from the factory.

Once the purple coolant gets HOT , it changes to an ORANGE slash pinkish orange?

Unbelievable. ..

Checked it cold and it's spot on. Liquid level just into the fill neck and comes up when pinched. Coolant res is a dot below max when cold. I'm satisfied with it. I get no bubbles when squeezing the upper radiator hose and it's firm when the thermostat opens. All in all success!

A bit of newer info but nothing to answer all questions.

OK now I'm really kind of confused and scratching my balls. After about 12,000 miles I decided to suck a gallon of the global lifetime coolant out of the radiator it's self. Lo and behold after sitting for a couple of hours in the garage the damn stuff turned orange.

When this stuff is still in the jug and has never been used it is a golden amber color.

I am going to not worry about it one bit though I know I've got some of the best coolant available in my radiator and reservoir so I'm gonna try to sleep at night. Here is a pic!

I'm going to filter the coolant through a coffee filter and reuse it overtime.

If there comes a time when I can't find PGL @ Loves or Walgreens I will do a flush & switch to G-05 for sure!
I always have 3 Gal of PGL in the garage though.
