So I just purchased this 2007 2wd 1500 QC I’m new with trucks so some guidance would help me a lot. I have done some research and I want to lift it 6inches. I have looked into pro comp and is considering, one question I have is about tires and rims. I was considering 37x12.50x17 at first but read where those rub, then I considered 35x12.50x17, then I read the lift kit "requires" 18" wheels and above. Could someone please clarify this for me?

Get a maxtrac 7" lift. Is equivalent to the 4wd 6" lift.

37s will fit with proper rims. Something like 17x8 rims with 4.5" backspacing. I don't know the reason why they recommend 18" rims. I've seen 6" lifted 4wds with 15" runs and 35" & 37" tires.

The wheel must be at least 17" because of the size of our calipers on these trucks. Anything smaller will not clear. Go with the maxtrac 7" lift. That's what I am running on my truck and I have 17x10 wheels with 35s.

I agree with 35's being the right size for that lift, to many guys throw to much rubber under there and then they scrub. I have 17" wheels also, I don't like the low profile tire look myself.
