Hello People,
I am have overheating issues with my 2013 ram 1500 4.7 6 speed transmission. At first it started in a parking lot with whoosh noise coming from the fan clutch area. It started overheating to the point it almost reached 3/4 on dial. Have changed about everything and have spent over 400 at the dealership for diagnostics.
Parts that have been changed:
fan clutch
Water pump
Radiator
Thermostat
Electric fan
Dealer put in their coolant.
All Spark plugs changed and some coils due to a miss fire code that does not come no more.
Drove it this morning after electric fan had been put in and still overheats. It will get to 221 f and tranny will get past 180 f. I have another of the same exact ram, and under the same conditions engine will get to 212 at most and tranny at 158.
I had the tranny fluid and filters changed.
I don't want to go to the dealership anymore has they have been nothing but a pain; not fixing anything, keeping the truck for long periods of time, and charging me up the ass.
I would appreciate any suggestion or ideas. Thank you very much
