O man totally! Lol, little things separate the one of trucks from the copy paste trucks IMO, and we live in a copy paste world

The Mutt is just staring at the new Hemi in the corner, waiting for the beast to get assembled! Haha

Fuark, my dude. It's coming along!

You gonna try the flat lens swap to the stock 3g heads? Really itching to see that, TBH.

Not anytime soon. I’m way too busy. That will be a project if I’m supper board since I’m using the 06 style lights.

Little picture update. I made some brackets to mount the console and did more trimming to get the fitment closer. Still need to make a trim panel for the passenger side. It’s getting closer

And some progress on the engine. It’s slow going and the head gaskets are on backorder so it will take a little longer, no big deal. It is a painstaking process to assemble the rotating assembly, there is so much to go through and check d8e6f49e04e8b0558d947a7fdf56e3cc.jpg

You know what I thought of a few days ago for performance? A Custom ITB setup with runners that get just long enough to poke the throttle bodies above the heads. Or turn them upwards like stacks and have a shaker intake/filter through the hood, or through the hood and with a shroud over it.

Just a thought. Also, is there a way to do a MAP to MAF sensor conversion? Or a manual cable throttle conversion?

Not sure on the sensor. Kinda doubt it because it’s all run through the pcm. Seems like a programming thing. You can do a cable throttle body, I’ve heard of some people doing it but don’t have any links

Got the crank torqued down with new ARP main studs, and now I’m setting all the piston ring gaps. File-to-fit rings are tedious work...

All the pistons are installed! Now it’s covered and sitting in the corner waiting for head gaskets to arrive

Hope you got your rings perfect. I've never heard of "file to fit" piston rings. Hope they aren't too tight or too loose. Either would seem completely ****** and catastrophic for such a nice, new, big displacement, EXPENSIVE motor.

Nope they are all good. Actually gapped alittle extra. File-fit rings are pretty common on performance builds, it allows the builder to pick the ring gap specifically to the application. For people keeping score at home, they are set at .025, perfect for about a 200 shot of nitrous haha [emoji41]

Tonight’s progress. Got it down to the block just being left in the truck. It’s looking like I was only running on 7 cylinders. Still haven’t found the cause of the oil problems, hopefully we can figure it out once the block is removed 5a2a3d7f74e6cd25c797c1f4b908ca4b.jpg

Cylinder one head looks terrible but the cylinder is spotless 34af75b2dffad76b3591e0fe869f1f74.jpg

I had no clue they had A-pillars.
Of course great work on the truck so far. Nothing but respect bro, that whole truck will basically be assembled and built by you [emoji41]

We got those too brother. Autometer makes a few options for your truck.

Chris also has some stout hardware inbound!:naughty:

Cant wait to see this thing buttoned up. let us know what else you need to get her finished.
