Hey everyone. Pretty new to the forum and so far I like what I see with everything. Fairly new to a dodge pickup too. Been on the chevy bandwagon for awhile now, and I must say I do like my dodge better than my 99 sierra z71. (other than the fuel mileage). Ok so I have a plain jane basic 04 dodge ram 2wd single cab 4.7 liter, manual locks windows, Etc. I am interested in doing the LED conversion behind the gauges and I have been researching it, and I am just curious as to what kind of LED bulbs I will need? I haven't had the chance to yank the cluster out yet and I am just curious if there are any other members out there who have done the same? I am also interested in doing the turn signals on the front as well in LED, but at the same time I am sort of weary because of the bulb out notifications on the dash. Don't really know if the power draw of the LED's is different or not? Thanks guys for any responses!

Welcome to the Ram Forum! Having had a Z71, you'll grow to overlook the economy of the 4.7, as you fall in love with everything else the Ram has to offer..

Here's wermbang's 2G LED swap. http://www.ramforum.com/f77/2nd-gen-led-dash-light-change-diy-5468/?highlight=cluster

3G bulbs (MY05) :
B8.5D , 11 qty for the cluster i believe the 06+ only have 5
Neo04-B, 2-3 qty in the over head, 3 if you have the extra buttons
NEO5, 2 blue 1 white Climate control (need to be trimmed a bit)

I've got a few more pics, just not handy here at work..

In a nutshell, it's an '01 SLT Laramie
24V 5.9L
~180K mi
NV5600 6 speed
NV241DHD transfer case
2" leveling kit
235-85/16 Federal Couragia MTs (~60-70% left)
Disc Brakes on all fours w/AW ABS
LED cab clearance lights
BHAF
5" Diamond Eye Turbo-back exhaust, muffled
6" SS tip
South Bend 3800# twin disc clutch (not installed)
Edge Juice w/Attitude (EGT, etc.)
Power everything (windows, locks, cruise, etc.)
Replaced this past summer: Bendix brakes, MOOG: ball joints, track bar, inner/outer tie rod ends, drag link
Steering Box Brace
Cloth seats
rear slider window
Dana60 front axle
Dana80 rear axle
Viper Keyless
New headlights/turn signals to replace old yellowed ones.
New RC nitro shocks

(trailer not included.)

Great truck, beasty tow rig, plows snow like a demon.

busted dash (as per just about any 2G Dodge Ram), couple dents, bent bumpers (all of which were like that when I bought it.)
