have 6000k 35w in the projectors from JJ, 3000k ddm 35w hid in the hella driving lights behind grille, and currently 6000k 35w ddm hid's in the fogs. Bought a spare set of hid bulbs for the fogs (3000k) when i ordered the ddm hid kit, just in case i wanted to swap to the yellow hid color. The 6000k seem to put out great light in the fogs, have seen a few mention 3000k is best in the fogs for visibility while driving in fog though. Any input on which provides the best visibility in the fog lights-3000k or 6000k?

3k rocks. I think I'll go to it on my next set of projector foggies.

I run 6K for all my lighting needs. I have seen the true white HID's and they do not add enough contrast in the snow so I recommend 6K or higher or 3k and lower. In the end it is what makes you happy.

My personal preference is 6K, it's a nice compromise between color and light output, anything higher you are losing light output. I prefer the white light over the 3k yellow. But I think if you want the best visibility in the fog, go with 3k.

3K will give you best visibilty per "fog" light standards.

I'm just not a fan of the 3K tint.

6K is brilliant all round, IMHO.

I have 3000°K in both my headlights and fogs. I'm going to swap out the headlights to some 5000°K I have from a prior retro. That being said, I LOVE the yellow light in the snow / wet roads. It just really helps make things 'pop' in ****** weather. Meaning it's easier to distinguish things on the road etc.

I've also noticed the yellow light doesn't seem to 'disappear' like the blue shades on wet roads.

Do you have any pictures of what the 10K looks like? I'm interested in seeing.
