ok, long story short, I currently have the option to go with a used R/T tc or a used Edge 2800 tc. both are pretty cheap pricewise. just wasn't sure which was the better option to go with? suggestions?

I think the guys pretty much summed it. Even a 2600 stall Edge would make the stock 2600 stall RT converter look bad.

if buying a USED Edge 2800 stall, is there anything to consider?

With any used converter, reguardless of the brand, I recommend sending it back to the manufacturer to be cut and cleaned. If there is something wrong with the converter internally, it could cause alot more damage than what it would cost to have it checked out by the manufacturer first.

awesome.... i might have my hands on a used Edge 2800 soon, so I'll do that. what's the process of sending them in to be "cut and cleaned"?

Just give them a call, and they will let you know what to do. Ask for Andre. I dont remember the exact cost, but I think it is about $80-$100. You end up with a basically brand new converter though once they are done. IMO it is worth knowing that everything is good to go before installing. Transmission problems are not something you want to deal with.

no doubt!! thanks for the advice bud. this along with the 87 MM TB should be a nice combo! now, hopefully bonuses turn out well, and I'll be bugging you with some long tube headers!

a set of pacesetters LT's 400 bucks... ceramic coated 250 total- 650.. or you can buy ARH for 1200.... i just can't justify spending that much money for LT's thats just me though. i had them on my 3rd gen for years and sold it with them on it with no problems.

i had the ceramic coating LT's. there a great product if you want gains for cheap. but you get what you pay for a cheap header that will rust out at the collector with time.....

I have sent about 10 emails to Pacesetter about making longtubes for the 09-up and I have not recieved a single email back. I also called them a few times and was told that they dont have anything in the works. They are a great bang for buck setup for the 3rd gen guys, but it doesnt look like there is much hope for the 4th gens right now.
