I recently got my 13 Hemi with the 8 speed. I am coming from a 4.7 that was manual stick, transfer, windows and locks, so I have a question as the automatic wasn't my first choice, it was my only choice....

So say my battery dies. Fully dead. Parasitic drain from whatever... (Actually I have even tried putting it in gear on the accessories spot, but I will have to)

What happens if I need to get the pickup in neutral for whatever reason to push it? Is this a case of strap it up and drag it? Did they hide anything under the body other than yanking the driveshafts?

I'd go with, pull the battery and take it to the autozone and have them recharge it, seems a bit easier than strapping and dragging. But even still I'd think you'd be able to still put it in neutral, every automatic I've had before you can put in neutral even with the car off, but hopefully someone will chime in on whether the Ram will let ya.

On the 8 speed equipped trucks, right above your emergency brake release handle is a cover the hides the release cable for shifting into neutral if you we to ever have a dead battery or if the shifter malfunctions.

Subscribed. Just to hear how this would work out. If you can't get a new battery or boosted.

Yank the key from the fob, unlock driver door, pop hood, hook up battery pack and/or booster cables, shift to neutral.

I like the info about the lever above the park brake. Great info.
