I had airlift 1000's in my 1500, they did awesome, no issues in the 3.5 years I had/used them. I think they were only around $100 and pretty easy to install.

Do they make the rear end look higher because as these rams already look like the rear end is higher already

I've had mine a short time, worth it. Less than 100$ for them, if you hate the squat with a light load.

The rear does not sit higher. Unless you fill them while your unloaded.
If you fill them after your loaded you can just level your truck or even raise it some.
Mine can raise the back two inches over stock empty or loaded.

I added the Firestone kit with jounce bumpers last year. The truck sits an 1" higher with 15lbs of air. They definitely help while towing.

You are supposed to fill them before you load them. If you fill them first the truck most definitely sits higher than with them empty.

You could do it that way. Geuss you want 50Lbs in them and only needed 20Lbs. Or put 20Lbs and needed 50Lbs.
You could just fill them to shop air pressure and let out air till you get the level you want.
I usually fill after I've loaded.
You know, pull the trailer to where I need to load it. Load it, then fill till it's good. Unless no air nearby like a car on the highway, then fill till truck stops going up and call it good. Rough ride but sits good once vehicle is loaded.
I never look at how much pressure I put in.

I have the Firestones. Max pressure 35psi each (I usually run 34, easier to see on the gauge). Lifts the truck about 2 inches empty. Sits level with our 9000 pound trailer. Manual says to fill them before you put a load on them. No issues with them except I had a valve stem core back out enough to lose air in one. tightened it up, good to go.

Good stuff to know. I have bags that were there when I bought it. I can and have put up to 50psi with no issue. I have loaded 2400Lbs (220 gal water tank) on the back of my 1500 and it holds just fine.
I fill before I load if I do that.
I am thinking about on board air and hooking the bags to a level valve so I never have to fill again. Just load and it will self level.
