Hello all, I'm a new Ram convert. I just got a 2016 SLT with the pentistar v6. I have owned 2 F150s back to back and never been happier with a truck than this one. But you all know how good it is. I had a quick towing question, my f150 is my usual tow vehicle but is in the shop....again, but its 17 yrs old so cant expect much else. Anyway, i want to go fishing tomorrow but have not yet installed the class IV hitch to the new truck. My Ram has the tow haul feature but only the bumper class 3 option. My boat has a tounge weight of just 260lbs and likley less than 1600lbs total. Can i just throw this ball on here and go?

Yes, you will be fine. Under 5000lbs can be towed using bumper pull.

I am thinking a Honda Civic could do that job, happy trolling and pics of the big catch.

Ok, my bad.. The new Rams are rated as class 3, 5000 lb.

I was thinking about older truck bumpers.
