Added tow mirrors

Ok so I added some much needed tow mirrors to my truck so I can trash the strap on mirrors when I tow my camper. I didn't get the oem ones but they have a real nice quality and finish to them.

Anyways the reason I'm posting this is to ask this.
I bought the ones with the turn signal and puddle light they were a better price than plain black. The door module was already pre pinned for it but they still do not work. I'm assuming I have to get a code flashed from dealer.

Can anyone verify this and possibly give the code so I can just request it? Thanks in advance.

You have to go to the dealer and get 3 codes programmed for those features to work.

Those will get you puddle lights, turn signals, and adjust the mirror controls for when it's in the vertical position

So I just got back from dealer and after they added the codes the mirrors turn correctly in up and down positions. No puddle lights nor turn signals. Any ideas?

The dealer flashed the codes for free when it was in there for warranty work.(Broken exhaust bolts go figure) and I didn't ask them to see if it worked because they weren't very familiar with adding codes anyways.

If you take it back to them you can ask to see the tool. It will show you your trucks options. They might have forgotten to add the other 2 codes . For Free99 it's worth the trip back up there lol

I just added aftermarket tow mirrors which looked identical to the OEM. I suspect MOPAR gets theirs from the same place. Anyway the control module had to be flashed to get the turn signals and puddle lights to work. The LEC and LED codes would not work. LEG did work. I asked them why they do this and why can't Chrysler just use a module with all the codes in it so anything installed on a truck will work. I didn't really get a good answer.

What is the year/make/model of your truck? Also what brand of mirrors did you buy and have you been able to get them to function properly? Im looking into flip up mirrors for my 2014 ram 1500 and not having much luck. Thanks
