HI All. Was wondering if anyone had installed the aftermarket air bag suspension on their 2014 or 15 2500 crew cabs. Will be towing to Alaska in a year or so and wanted something to dampen and slightly support the OEM coils. I wouldn't mind an inch or so of lift when loaded but mainly wanted to keep the severe road bumps from beating the springs to death. Don't necessarly need an onboard compressor as I wont be alternating between pulling and driving much. Any thoughts or experience you have would be appreciated. Also, what brand tires do you prefer? Have Firestone now (oem) and only will get 20k of wear from them. Considering Michelin as advertising 70K wear warranty and also want the full road hazard warranty. Probably will opt for a second spare for both truck and trailer before trip. Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

air lift 1000's are great for the money. about 90-100$ and very easy to install. I plan on getting BFG all terrain tires when I swap so not much help there.

Dude youre just epic lol..just make sure the load capacity on your new tires are close enough to the axle rating for your truck..not all E load rated tires have a 3600# rating which varies with size of the tire. Alaskas way farther than buffalo to florida lol..sounds like a good time to me! Canadadian rockies are gonna be fun :naughty:

My only curiosity on this becomes the dampening rates on the new cushy ride 2500s. If they turned the shocks down like they have on the 1500s, the higher spring rate with a big load can cause some porpoising, but I suppose you can solve that later with better shocks if necessary.

Air bags FTW. I have run Firestone, TLC, and AirLift, and loved them all on my different trucks.
