I REALLY don't want to fight with air bags/lines. Period.
I think these would be nearly as effective as eliminating rear end squat, with 0 hassle/maintenance/worries.
Guys use them to level front ends with plows attached so I know they must be OK with harsh cold, winter conditions (we have burtal, long winters up here)
Does anyone have any experience with them?

TIA!

Tried them problem is they make the truck ride like crap. I would do the airlift as it is air yes but cheap and does not mess up the ride. Another option is to replace rear coils with heavier ones too.

Timbrens just replace the bumpstops in the rear
Unloaded they dont make contact so there is no difference in ride and your going to have a rough ride in anything loaded not matter what is in the rear
I personally havent had them but have ridden in vehicles that had them, I didnt notice any sort of harsh ride with them

I have tried this product as well as Firestone work rite and same thing the 4th gen 1500 squats with my 80 pound tool box and 5 sandbags I use in winter. It makes it ride like ****. Trust me I have tried the product or don't and waste your time. On a truck with leafs it would work well coils it does not as they are longer than bump stops and engage too early.

We bought a smaller travel trailer so we dont need our Timbrens anymore if you would like a slightly used set. I had them on my 2012 Ram Express. They worked great for me.

I just installed a set on my truck, and so far I like them. I haven't experienced any rough ride issues of note, although I went over a particularly large speed hump (It was way bigger than a bump lol) and when I came back down, I could feel when they engaged, but the engagement was smooth.

I have had lots of trucks with airbags in the past, and I thought I would give these a shot for the same reason you listed, 0 maintenance lol. On all my airbagged trucks I almost always just left them inflated since I actually used my truck on a daily basis, but on this truck I figured filling, and deflating all the time would get old.

I haven't loaded my truck yet, but I have driven it a fair bit on pretty bad roads, and the ride is great. If the claim about a level truck with a 6000 lb trailer is true I will be absolutely satisfied.

On a side note a problem I experienced with air bags, although they were not the in coil mounted ones like we would use was that one time I ripped them in half when I was driving through some irrigation ditches on my family's ranch, and did some serious although unintentional flexing. After that I was always worried when I was flexing very much. They were firestones on a 85 chevy 3/4 ton.

OK, you win. Loaded, the ride quality is just terrible.
Has anyone tried these WITH an air system like the Air Lift 1000?
(or if it's not adviseable, I'm glad I kept the bumpstops! :Wedgie:)

I have the Airlift 1000 but haven't use them on anything super heavy yet.

Maybe somebody can post up some photos of their heavily laden airlift 1000 series (1400 lb range) and next time I get loaded up with my Timbrens I will post up some photos.

I personally didn't mind the ride quality, I figured that having 1400 lbs in the back meant I appreciated the extra stability they offered.

I would be interested in seeing the squat a truck has with the air bags compared to the timbrens, that is my big interest in the photos.

Just ordered the Airlift 1000 setup from lowriders.ca ($112 shipped within Canada- unbeatable!!)
Will probably remove Timbrens and replace bumpstops before towing again. Now that I think about it, there would be little benefit to leaving the Timbrens in place WITH the air lifts inflated; any time the Timbrens engage, the ride is rough.
