Curt 13333 hitch

anybody installed this hitch, if so can you please attach some pics would like to see how far it sticks out from bumper once installed

Should sit almost flush, maybe 3/4".

If I can install it, I'm sure you can... I'm an Old Man, have trouble getting up/down etc. Took me about 30 minutes or so.. Only thing I had to have my son make sure I got all the bolts snug.. Just don't have the strength I use to have...

Thanks, i can install no problem im just more concerned if it sticks out like a sore thumb or is flush like the factory hitch

I've never seen many without a hitch. Except a express delete. I'm surprised you didnt get them to throw that in. How are liking all the laramie options.

well i decided to buy the westin 65-1015. I liked the position of the chain hook holes close to oem. The tow ratings are the same as the curt 13333 but the warranty on the westin is longer and the price was almost $40.00 cheaper

I have the Curt on my truck. For some reason my Laramie didn't come with one. It was relatively easy to install and hasn't let me down.

Is that a class 3? Mine came with a class 4 I bought it used but thought it was from the factory.

The Curt is class 3 for sure. I bought the cheapo Blitz Class 3 OEM Towing Trailer Hitch with free hitch cover. Sits flush and takes a beating - my bumper was squashed in the install area and I had to take a hammer and chisel to get the hitch to sit straight - held up well! $44 delivered too.

Took a closer look ... mine sits out about 3/4 of an inch, not flush.

The factory hitch is a class 4, you are correct.

Class 4 is technically overkill considering its rated to Haul 8000 lbs. Towing, 800 lbs. Tongue weight with no WD With WD 15000 lbs. Towing 1500 lbs. Tongue. The Ram 1500 8 Speed with 4X4 and 3.92 is only rated to tow 9350 lbs. MAX. The hitch I bought is Class 3 rated at 600 lbs. Tongue 6000 lbs. Towing with no WD with WD its rated for 1000 lbs. Tongue and 10000 lbs. Towing. My ram is a 2017 1500 8 speed 4X4 with 6.4 box and its max tow is rated at 7850

I never stated that class 3 was not good enough, just confirmed that class 4 was the factory hitch. :favorites13:
