So my dad has a 26 foot equipment trailer, fifth wheel. It's about 6500 pounds. Our tractor is about 5k wet with brush hog.

If I get a RAM 2500 6.4 3.73 ccsb can I pull it? Do I still need a slider hitch since it's a v nose? My towing will be very slow 60 miles on 2 lane highway at 500 feet above sea level. Probably 3 time a year.

Thought about selling the trailer for a 22 foot bumper pull that would weigh 3500 pounds, I would rather not if I don't have to.

2014 ram 2500 6.4l ccsb 4wd has a towing capacity of 12510 in a slt trim. So weight wise your goodm plus the 6.4l has a 10k gvw with about 2800-3000 payload so you shouldn't run over weight. I haven't seen a fifth wheel equipment trailer is it actually a fifth wheel or a goose neck? Either way if it's a v nose you shouldn't have any problems I know guys that pull normal goose necks with short beds and they do fine they just have to be careful to not get in a fight situation when backing up.

I have pulled that trailer a few times with his truck but can't remember. He said it was a fifth wheel. I will confirm, but have no reason to think otherwise.

I didn't think there would be a clearance issue with the nose but I figured I would ask.

We use to pull a trailer similar to this it was a 38ft sooner with the rounded nose like in the pic with my dad's f-250 shortbed and never had any issues it never even got close to the cab. There was a racing buddy that was pulling a standered enclosed trailer and he popped his rear glass but he got him self in a bad spot backing up and I believe he was turned so hard he got his bedside also. But if you have a v nose and pay attention 3 Times a year I bet you'll be just fine.
