Half way back home, overloaded or atleast for these **** tires.

Dont think these TTC-1211S offer the 50% over stock like they advertise because I dont have that much in it I am still getting 13.4 mpg on average hand figured. The load still has nothing for this Hemi, pulls it like nothing.
Do believe new tires and a set of firestone air bags should do the trick, would also like some heavier sway bars for it , but some D or E rated tires will help a ton.

Made it back how, right at 2,800 miles round trip, truck pretty much got 13.5 mpg ( 89oct )coming back about the same as going out because I drove slower.
Drive train in this truck is great never missed a lick pulls like a champ and the transmission is allways in the correct gear with only down shifting in the mountains for the most part.

The tires flat suck and I can't believe Ram puts these on a truck, as soon as I find the extra money they are off, my biggest complaint on the whole trip.
Brakes work great on this Ram I had a few really stupid people just pull right out in front of us.

I tow a 24' travel trailer with about 800 lbs or so of tongue weight and other stuff in the bed. Definitely more squat than I wanted, even with 1223v springs and a weight distributing hitch, but the original GY tires aired to 44 PSI performed admirably. I like them towing better than my new Cooper A/T3s. Maybe the Coopers need a little breaking in. AT tread can be a little squirmy too. Maybe you had more of a load than you realized? It's easy to do with a half ton. JMHO

I am sure I was at/past the limits of a half ton with the 1211s springs sagging like they where.
Air bags are my next step then wheels and tires. I have not liked these tires since I got the truck they offer terrible traction in any condition from what I have found.
But hauling they squirm under the truck real bad under weight.
They just need to be a C rated tire and they would be better.

But this is the way its always been it seems as most manufacturers put generic tread patterns on there vehicles, my wifes Mustangs tires offer little to no wet traction.
