Got my trailer!

Well picked up an enclosed trailer yesterday. It's a 20ft h&h and the ram pulled her really well with plenty of power to spare. My ram has 3.92s but only has 2500 miles on her and driving 60 to 65 with the empty trailer I got 8 mpg. I babied it and didn't use cruise but did have to pull some hills. Really thought I'd get at least 10 with the trailer loaded, so hoping once she gets broke in it will get a little better mileage. I installed the air lift bags and love that it didn't squat the truck at all but the receiver I used was turned upside down putting the front of the trailer up in the air so hopefully lowering the trailer 3 or so inches helps a little.

Nice rig. I would think getting something more aerodynamic for the front of that trailer would help with highway mpg's.

Wish I could find a way to make this thing more aerodynamic. From what I have read nose cones don't work and most of the issues are the shape of rear part do the trailer.

Nice setup! I should think your mileage would improve at least 1-2 mpg once the engine has a few more miles.

There is SOME truth in this. Reducing trailing wake is a BIG part of MPGs.
But a flat surface on the front will displace a WHOLE lot of air.

I just picked up my trailer last week aswell, i got a 8.5 x 24ft. It has s light v nose that adds arround 1.5 ft to the center length.

Getting arround 12-13 for MPG empty arround 11 with a 4,000 car in it.
