looking for something like this.

B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 7" Drop, 7-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black B and W Ball Mounts BWTS10049B

I'd like to find it in a class 5.. " then no family members will be borrowing it"
My dad has a cheap one I borrow from him and it is has so much slop it sounds like **** is coming apart when ever I use it. Who's is using what? how do you like it? I figure the 7" drop will suit my needs just fine. thanks for all the input fellas. I will take any recommendations.

Personally I really don't care for a class 5 hitch, it's inconvenient because all the hitches I have are class 4 lol. My dad's F 250 has a class 5 so he just got a steel sleve that goes in so we can use class 4 hitches.

I maybe go that route man, will you have a truck that needs a class 5 forever? If the next truck you get has a class 4 your new hitch will become useless.

Look closer, they are class 5 rated but still a 2" bar. I wanted a 2.5" bar adjustable hitch but I wasn't shelling out the money that companies wanted for them. With the sleeve the hitch rattles a little too much for my taste.

I have a B&W Tow and Stow. It works great, but using the 2 x 2.5 adapter it does rattle and bang a fair bit. I might try to fab a shim to take some of the slop out. So far, the 2.5" hitch is a bit of a PIA.

seems to depend on the brand. i looked at a Kurt rated for something like 15,000lbs and they had it listed as class 4 but i bought one from princess auto rated for 12,000lbs and they called it a class 5. seems some rate by the weight and some rate just by the size

You probably could order some rubber gasket and slide that in there and you wouldn't ahve any rattles them.

So, help a Ram nOOb out. I just ordered my new 2015 2500 Mega Cab 4x4 Laramie. I assume this comes with a class 5 hitch. Will this be a 2 or 2.5" setup? Thanks.

2.5 but there should be a adapter sleeve under the back seat that will allow you to use a 2in ball mount.

just bought the 5 inch drop version

looking for something like this.

B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 7" Drop, 7-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black B and W Ball Mounts BWTS10049B

Just got the 2 inch class 5, 3 ball B&W stow and go. it's the 5 inch drop/rise version. My class 5 Curt hitch is a 2 inch as well. added a Bolt hitch pin-lock as well. So far, so good. Nice construction and convenient to use.

And if there's play, they do sell a neoprene sleeve to put around the hitch that dampens rattles, I didn't get that though.

the main reason I want a class 5 is I don't want the rattle and I don't want to have to use a spacer. plus if I buy a class 4 I know my brother And my dad will be trying to steal the damn thing ever chance they get. but just can't seem to find one.

That one you posted has a 2" bar. I can't remember the ones I found but they were around the same price as the one you posted only they had the full sized bar.

That thing is awesome even has a built in scale! Damn it's almost $300 but the only hitch you'll ever need!

I thought so too. I can't seem to find those other adjustable hitches that I found before but for the price I'm not sure you can beat that one unless you need more capacity.
