If i understand correctly, i wouldnt be switching out the spring with bags, i would be running both. i know not legally, i just need to get about 600lbs. i understand that a 2500 would be perfect, and if im stuck with what i am at, then ill keep hauling 200gallons, but if bags can help me get 600 lbs then i would want to buy them.

once again, there is noting you can do to increase payload except buy another truck. nothing you add does anything for the payload capacity of the truck. all it does it help the truck handle the load better. air bags are barely adequate for people within the payload capacity for these trucks, hence why i/we suggest you change the springs and add the bags. past that, the tires are your next weakest link.

Gotcha Thanks, the tires will be just fine for the weight of the water, they are rated at 1800lbs per tire. I was just wondering, i know legally i cant, just figured if i could swap out some things to prevent damage, thats all... Thanks

Not to resurrect and old thread of mine... But i just recently added airlift 1000, and i was an idiot and miss-read the weight. I thought it was 1000LBS per bag, not 1000LBS total... So from what is sounds like my new payload is 1000 LBS, has anyone had the airlift 1000 and loaded it to the manufacturers payload? Or will that pop them?
