Question? For the guys that have the K2 towing mirrors installed how do you like the passenger side convex mirror? I find it hard to judge how far back the car beside me is. Maybe I just have to get used to them. Thank's tux.

Ya. have to get used to them. I'm a bugger for change. But I do like them flipped up but don't want to drive all the time flipped. Tux.

Does anyone know if the 2013 mirrors will fit in the 2012s? Are the plugs back compatible? It sounds like its a lot of manipulating to get a 2012 to fit a 2013. Thanks

Oh man, this is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Dealer wants to charge me over $1k for factory tow mirrors... $270 is way more reasonable.

I have my cdls and I use mine like a cdls truck. The upper large mirror I use for traffic and beside me and the lower convex mirror is to tell where my rear tires are traveling for backing up, parking, and watching for curbs

I'm not trying to hijack this thread but I have a 2013 Laramie 1500 with chrome folding tow mirrors that I would like to trade for a standard set of 2013 mirrors. They have to be chrome, have the puddle lights, heated, turn signals and be electric. As has been explained in this thread the 2013 is the first year that the heat sensor is in the mirror and they will not switch out with any other year without modification. My mirrors are brand new(100 miles old). Please PM me if your interested.

Hello! I also just purchased a 2013 Laramie Ram 1500 and it came with the Towing chrome mirrors. I'm having a bad blind spot with them and I have also decided to trade them for a standard set of 2013 (need to be 2013) Chrome mirrors. I'm sorry to piggy-back on this tread but I'm sure someone can benefit from these mirrors as they are more expensive than the standard equipment. With that said, if somebody is interested on a trade, please contact me. Your mirrors need to be chrome, have the puddle lights, heated, turn signals and be electric.

Simon.

damn, I have a set of mirrors ya'll are wanting...power folding, heated, power adjust, chrome, puddle, signal, blah blah from my 2013 Laramie.

but...

I bought a set of factory tow mirrors when I got my truck..so swapping won't do me any good.

and these mirrors are quite a bit more expensive than the tow mirrors because of the power folding option/motors

I had a performance shop install ProEFX tow mirrors on 2013 ram 2500 today. Stock had power, heat, signals etc. After install, check engine light came on and heated seats / steering wheel come on automatically when truck turned on. Did not notice outside temp display. Any input would be appreciated.

On The 2013 I believe the sensor for your temp. is in the mirror on drivers side . If the mirrors are after market they may not work everything. On the 2012s like mine the temp sensor is in the front grill so no problem with the after market mirrors. Check and see if the mirrors are compatible with your 2013. Just a thought I'm no tech so I could be wrong. Tux.

On my 97 dually diesel, I did the towing mirror mod, and I lost 1/2 mpg from the extra wind resistance, so I'd expect some loss, unless you had the stock towing mirrors before.
