Hello guys,
I have the 2012 Ram 1500 4x4 6 speed auto. I have recently acquired this truck and have noticed that the trans temp climbs to over 220 degrees around town not pulling anything. After further inspection I notice that the integrated trans cooler does not seem to be hot. This leaves me to think that the trans cooler bypass is not functioning correctly and routing fluid away from the cooler and back towards the trans.
I order to identify if it is installed correctly I need to know if the upper or lower line on the trans is the output or input. The bypass is labeled to show where the lines should go but not sure if it has been messed with. I do not know who to figure this out without loosening lines and starting the truck...big mess.
