I need to take the sag out of my ride while towing. You can see my set up in my signature. What can I do to not make my truck not squat so much while towing.

having the lift may make it a bit more difficult to find the right setup but air bags or stiffer rear springs are the usually fix

Are you carrying anything in the bed? I'm suprised that boat has the tongue weight to squat the rear of that truck that bad.

You could opt for some sort of weight distribution hitch like an equalizer or something like that to transfer some of the weight back to the front end of the truck. Or as mentioned, air bags

For some reason that picture makes it look worse than it really is. But I still want to try to help it out a little bit. I would do airbags but I have no clue on what to get with the lift. I was kind of in A low spot in the concrete which is why it looks worse than what it really is. Nothing was in the bed of the truck

If you don't want to drop a lot of money then get a wdh for now, it will help make it not squat so much with that little bit of tongue weight.

WDH- couple hundred.
Air bags- a lot more.
Stiffer coils- a lot less.

From your signature picture it looks like it's always squatted in the rear even without a trailer? May need to add some lift to the rear to match the front. Shouldn't need bags for a boat/trailer that size.

It just the way the picture looks. It’s actually level

Here is another picture I took with the boat today. It doesn’t squat as bad as the other picture makes it out to be.

This is my setup with WDH. Second pic is unhooked, I'm riding stock. I did notice my sag had changed from first setup & had to readjust the Wdh7637c894a690a22e2af40a2e479aae25.jpgbeeb0f3221f2bd4620c43939654b2b89.jpg

Don't worry about it. Actually, i would be embarrassed if i put a WD hitch on that small little boat trailer.

i would worry about it and that's why the op posted in the first place.

imo - that's too much squat for such a light boat and trailer. the way the front of your truck is nose high, if you run at night with your lights on you'll be blinding people worse than you already are if you didn't get your headlights re adjusted after the front level.

it has to be a rear spring issue. double check your fender gaps front and rear and make sure they are equal, unloaded. with your level they should be or have a little rake rear to front.

this is why stock trucks come with some rake, the oems know we use our trucks so when loaded they sit level, or at least not as noise high as yours does unless over loaded.

your best bet i think is air bags if you dont want to mess with a wdh and actuslly, the frame of that boat trailer may not be strong enough for wdh anyway.. good luck

Its the lift thats giving you trouble. Any truck will sag just a little when a trailer like that is attached, and if you start out level, then you get a nose high attitude.

Thats a tiny trailer for a WDH. Your best bet is likely to add a bit of lift in the rear. Air bags are what many use as they are adjustable (you can settle the truck back level when unloaded).

air bags are probably the best way to go as you can adjust them for how the truck is loaded. I've driven 2 trucks with the Timbrens and the best improvement was removing them.

Yeah those timberlands are not really a good idea, Airbag up and you will be happy.

Just put airs hocks on the back. When you need to haul or pull a trailer air them up to 60 psi and get a 1 1/2 inch lift. Depending on weight you can all the way up to 150 psi. I think my shocks say they carry up to 30,000 lbs.
