To the OP. I'm looking at a travel trailer similar in weight to what you're pulling. Any updates on how the 2500 is handling it? I suspect just fine, but would like to hear your thoughts on the move to the 2500 so far. Thanks!

That's great man. Really good to hear things are going well for you. Hard work pays off. Nice looking house too! Does the rig fit in the garage? Yea after security alarm system w/ remote start ill snag a pedal commander. Pretty excited about all the hype. And what's the name of the FB page?

Thanks man! Well worth the hard work! Garage is 2" too short for my rig to fit in all the way [emoji23] PC is awesome. Really glad I got it. FB page is called "The Dodge Ram Page" 89793d7c4ddd7044688cdad7b94d30dd.jpg

Yes youll def do a lot better if the Tundra only had 1200 pounds of payload lol.

Does anyone know why the 5.7 trucks have less payload than the 6.4 trucks. I dont get it.

5.7 2500s and 6.4 2500s have the same Frame, suspension, axles, transmission, etc. I do believe the 6.4 getting an extra 1k of GCVW (thus, payload also 1k more) is for marketing. Otherwise all they have is 27hp and 26tq more. Also the 6.4 come with MDS to help fuel economy, although personally I prefer not having it [emoji16] I've had no complaints with my 15' 2500 5.7 w/4.10s [emoji41]eaeaf4c7a4be17917fcde6008c37f1ca.jpg12a8daacabef3b76c7ca9ce79e665377.jpg8c211c49515e002f8782b49fc7b25ad3.jpg1e3a4a7908eddc9287a27999d2147457.jpg

Is this why my '17 2500 5.7 doesn't say "eco" on the evic like my my '13 1500 5.7? Cuz my 2500 doesn't have the mds? I just assumed they all had it now. I hated it. Made my exhaust sound terrible and I got the same mpg with it disabled.

Even the 2014 6.4 2500 doesn't have a eco light - But yes that is one reason You don't see a Eco light.

When I joined we were less than 20k members. Now we are just over 70k. It's an awesome page though! Saved me $60 off my Pedal commander!ad929cacd24c1d84c56bcb20724ee7bb.jpg

The GVWR thing between the 5.7 and 6.4 has always been curious to me as well. The most important numbers to watch are axle weights - FAWR and RAWR. You can find these on your door sticker. On my 6.4 I believe they are front 5500 and rear 6500. I'm curious if they are the same on the 5.7.

The 2500 5.7L are a beast, I had a 2014 2500 5.7L but I had the 3.73 gears which I wanted the 4.10.

Man I could barely feel the trailer. It did great, 0 complaints. Not sure if you have a trailer yet but you will probably need to get an adjustable shank for WD hitch to get low enough for trailer.
