To the OP. I'm looking at a travel trailer similar in weight to what you're pulling. Any updates on how the 2500 is handling it? I suspect just fine, but would like to hear your thoughts on the move to the 2500 so far. Thanks!

That's great man. Really good to hear things are going well for you. Hard work pays off. Nice looking house too! Does the rig fit in the garage? Yea after security alarm system w/ remote start ill snag a pedal commander. Pretty excited about all the hype. And what's the name of the FB page?
Yes youll def do a lot better if the Tundra only had 1200 pounds of payload lol.
Does anyone know why the 5.7 trucks have less payload than the 6.4 trucks. I dont get it.
5.7 2500s and 6.4 2500s have the same Frame, suspension, axles, transmission, etc. I do believe the 6.4 getting an extra 1k of GCVW (thus, payload also 1k more) is for marketing. Otherwise all they have is 27hp and 26tq more. Also the 6.4 come with MDS to help fuel economy, although personally I prefer not having it [emoji16] I've had no complaints with my 15' 2500 5.7 w/4.10s [emoji41]

Is this why my '17 2500 5.7 doesn't say "eco" on the evic like my my '13 1500 5.7? Cuz my 2500 doesn't have the mds? I just assumed they all had it now. I hated it. Made my exhaust sound terrible and I got the same mpg with it disabled.
