Can towing mirrors off of a 2500 fit on a 1500? I want to get some towing mirrors for my ram and before I purchase I want to know that it'll fit or not

There are several vendors on here that will help you out. Whatever you do don't get them from the dealer.

I just ordered a loaded set of mirrors for my 1500, but my question is do you need the support plates like I had to install in my 2001 cummins? Or do the mirrors just bolt up and that's it?

That's ridiculous. I almost bought a set from our parts dept as part of our deal. They fit.
I would try another dealer who wants your $$

What they told me was from 09 up the style was different, and some fit some dont... kind of a stupid answer, but they said if they ordered them in they were mine if they fit or not.. i hate dealers its why i bought a truck with little warrenty left. just enough to see if anything was wrong. then modify it how i want.

Nicely played. I don't believe in warranty.
A guy on my team payed $2K for extended warranty on his '11 Malibu, and has spent the past 6 working days trying to get a simple window regulator replaced. His extended warranty isn't even registered with the 3rd party warranty people after 6 months (they have apparently pocketed the $2K thus far)
Un-freaking believable.

Ok, so thirty mins of removing door panels, pulling old mirrors and slapping new ones on and I'm DONE! That went much smoother and quicker than I anticipated. No warning lights or funky temps. Plug and mother f'n play buddy! Puddle lights and turn signals work too.

So, yes! 4th gen tow mirrors will fit a 2009 1500. No support bracket needed either. Just the three bolts that come pre installed.

still wonder if this will work on my 2011. dealer told me from 2010 and up the style changed slightly, but i dont trust them (my brothers a licensed mechanic and hates dealers, worked for a dodge one for 4 years seen alot of stupid ****) we both drive dodge rams though.
