Tonight I hauled my boat and trailer about 110 miles. In the last 15 miles I noticed something making an odd noise. Pulled over and found one of the wheels had blown a bearing seal and figured since I was so close, and it is a tandem axle, I would just limp her home at 25-35mph.
Got home and found I nearly escaped disaster with the wheel being able to be shifted about 1/2" to 1" in every direction. LOL
Looks like the bearing buddy has also dislodged itself, which would explain why I had to force-drag it into my neighborhood at 3/4 throttle.
I hope I do not have to rebuild the entire damn thing instead of just finding a safe place and R&R the bearings. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
