I have a 2007 1500 Mega Cab that I bought used a year ago. I can't find any info on the vehicle about tow capacity, payload, GCWR... I'd like to buy a travel trailer but want to make sure I can tow it. I've done research and seem to find to many different answers. Does anyone have some concrete figures for me? The 1500 Mega Cab has the 3/4 ton axles and a 3.73 rear end. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

go lighter than heavier.... i have a 2015 Ram 5.7 quad cab 3.92 gears rated to pull 10,220 i literally bought a travel trailer yesterday.... 6300 dry weight than drove 800KM home..... i averaged 8MPG... 350KM to a tank.... i'd hate to see if i actually was at the 10k limit.....
looks like you're setup will be around the 8k limit, i do not know what kind of terrain you are dealing with (i pulled through Banff / Jasper / Icefields so mountains...) but looking around 4-5k dry weight max should save some headache.....
i'll be looking for a 2500+ next year, i literally am going to have to put Jerry cans in the back of my truck just incase with current setup.
ps, i have another travel trailer it's about 3500 pounds dry, truck pulls it like it's not even there..

I wasn't really looking for my towing numbers, but I'm a member on the Mopar.com site. If I click on My Vehicle, then Dashboard, it shows me the towing and payload. Whether it's accurate or not, I don't know. But it's based on your VIN and lists all the installed equipment, etc.. I was already signed up for my Jeep and just added the Ram.

Because of it being a mega cab and 3.73 gears I’m going to guess around 7,000 lbs for tow capacity.
