Hi I have a 2005 ram 1500 with a body lift and BFG All terrain LT315/70R17 (34.4) and I am geared at 3.92. I have a lawn business and tow a 16ft tandem axle trailer full of equipment on a daily basis. I have already had to have the transmission rebuilt once. I am wondering if I should change my gearing and maybe a transmission cooler or deep sump pan? Any suggestions on mods I should do ?

Gearing is pretty good for what your running
A cooler and pan couldn't hurt, diff cover also

I really don't see a landscape trailer putting too much strain on your truck to really hurt anything, then again my buddy uses his 3500 to pull his lol

Yea its not so much the weight that worries me, its more of just the fact that i tow everyday with it. When its fully loaded with equipment its probably around 3-4k lbs maybe.

yeah i would look into deep pan and bigger diff cover, new tranny cooler wouldnt hurt either and even a 180 tstat and efan would help keep everything cooler with everyday towing
