That's Good plus it gets the Trailer tongue back away farther from corners of truck in turns
Are you concerned about the added leverage? You are putting more tongue weight on the hitch because of the added length (not saying it is more than it is rated for, just wanted to make sure you are checking and being safe).
Now get a backup camera and get it lined up on the first try every time.
