I towed my 25 foot tt with the 2011 4.7 I HAD... It's about 7000 lbs fully loaded. It did fine. It just lacked in torque. Going up steep hills it did fine but if had to slow down for any reason 1st gear was the only gear that would get u moving again. So I traded hemi. Never looked back.

I have pulled quite a bit of heavy stuff. Overloaded most of the time but I have never been disappointed with the performance.

I just towed this today. I don't think it's heaviest, but it's right up there.

I towed a load on this trailer over Teton Pass at a GVW of 14700# that I weighed on the state scale at the bottom of the pass.

I have a 25' travel trailer that I weighed ready for a weekend camping trip at 12960# GVW(truck and trailer) . So I guess I am no stranger to heavy loads.

I have been curious of this too. I have a 02 4.7, 2wd and I have been wanting to get a jetski but was nervous if truck will be able to handle it well, mostly at dock.

I don't think that you will have any problems, I've seen Geo Metros towing a jet ski. The hardest part will be seeing the dang thing when backing down the ramp is there is much angle to the launch.

I had no problems launching and retrieving my 18ft ski boat when I had an 02 Dakota with the 4.7.

Forgot to mention non lsd, but that might change. We launch at couple different spots, I'll have to check it out next time I go with my girlfriends parents.

I'm hoping they can tow a respectable amount, just picked my truck up 3 days ago and have plans to tow my 98 XJ.

i had an '07 4.7 with 3.92s. i pulled a 14x7 enclosed trailer about 3500lbs. and it was perfectly fine pulling out and low speeds but on the highway at about 65mph it stayed in 3rd gear at about 3500rpm and got about 8.5mpg from pittsburgh to indy. it didn't have enough power at those speeds to overcome the aerodynamic inefficiencies of the trailer. i sold the trailer before i got rid of the truck so never tried a comparison with my 2013

My camper has ~6500 lbs loaded. it pulled it fine- but up the hill below 3500 rpm the truck had problems. I traded up to a hemi now. Easter is our first trip with the new truck and I expect spectacular change.

I regularly pull a 3500 pound stock trailer with 4+ cows (average 500-1500 pounds each) with my 05 stock 4.7 4x4 and have no problems at all
